SOLDIER is one of my proudest efforts. Down the street from my old office across from Lacma on Wilshire, were the Labrea Complexes. On one side of the street of the complex, were $3200 rentals. On the other, were section 8 housing. On the road in the center, 20 year old white boys sold their 15 year old female friends from one side, to the other side. It was, a thing. Over the years I studying the current state of trafficking, how this was no longer a game run by old dudes in fur coats, but one by teenage and young adult hustlers, masking as a faceplate for larger organizations. This is the story of a girl who finds the courage to break free, the girl who is brainwashed into not leaving and the down fall of the sadistic bastards who pull this shit. The numbers quoted at the beginning of the picture, are real.
